There are also majority of people who take them as their hobby. Music is a friend to every one. The people who create music can also be called an artist as creating music is an art. Music is the form of expression. Various types of instruments are used in the context of making music and in the present context, it would be nice if we say composition of various sort of instruments along with the vocal defines the music. Likewise, music is also taught academically in many schools and colleges. Therefore, music has influenced many parts of the today’s world.

People can even guess the time period according to the type of music they’re consuming or listening like 70’s music 80’s music. In this 21st century, music such as rock, punk and hip-hop music are taking its pace. They’re played in parties, ceremonies, get-togethers and other important functions.
Due the development in the music their has also been a tremendous development in other arts like dances and various types of instruments like Walkman, Discman, DVD player, IPod, Cell phones are developed. Therefore, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that musical instruments have stepped into a digital level. New musical instruments are also created time and again that plays different sounds. In the present world, we have different generations of music or different types of music. Some of the examples are Rock, Punk Rock, Metal, Death-Metal, Disco, Trance, Hip-Hop, Rap, Rn’b, Jazz, Country music etc and many other types of music.
Hip-Hop/Rap Music
Hip-Hop music is associated to the griots of West Africa, roaming singers and poets, their tuneful trend is evocative of hip-hop. These griot traditions approached with slaves to the New globe. Hip-hop music is greatly influence by the Jamaican trend of talking. Even if these trends of talking are mixed with the certain rhythm or a beat, it becomes a song. This is believed to have initially started in Jamaica in the early 60’s. These days hip-hop music generally refers to the ghetto life. Along with the progression of the time the MCs became more artistic in their chants, ultimately overwhelming the tunes they were originally supposed to increase. The result is the earliest forms of what is known as hip hop in the US.
Clive Campbell mostly known as DJ Kool Herc, a Jamaican American musician and producer, is given a credit for the pioneer of hip hop in the early 70’s. Herc is believed to have migrated to the Bronx, New York carrying with him his knowledge of the Jamaican 'sound system' prospect and Jamaican 'toasting' style. Kool Herc started to DJ in 1973 once he had combined a great sound system. Herc used to purchase couple of copies of the same record and played it again and again giving emphasis in the break section with the use of the two turntables in order to reach this height. The technique soon grew up to be known as “Beats” or “Break Beats”. This mixing in the breaks with the use of the two turntable demanded more concentration.
Hip hop music is the genre of music which progressed as the part of the hip hop culture and it is defined by stylistic elements like rapping, Scratching/DJing, Sampling and beatboxing. In U.S, it was taking its progression in the 70’s in South Bronx, New York. Rap is the word used synonymously used with hip hop. However, hip hop solely denotes the performing of the whole sub-culture. Therefore, hip hop seems to have been originated from the East Coast i.e. The Bronx, New York and now very popular all over the world.
Likewise, rap is the very popular form of hip hop music. By rapping we also mean MCing or emceeing. MCing refers to a vocal style in which the artist speaks lyrically with a certain rhyme and a verse along with the instrumental or created beat. Usually, the tempo of the beat is 4/4 and it can be created by sampling or with the sequence of some other songs by a the that produces. Gangsta rap is the subset of rap music that originated in the 90’s with the rapper Ice Cube and N.W.A (Niggas With Attitude) his former rap group.
Contemporary Rn’b, Jazz Rap, Gangsta Rap, Rap Metal, Freestyle Rap etc falls under the categories of rap. Rap music is definitely the very influential part of the hip-hop music.
